In the beginning of the show, this was the woman who was staying with Maria. She was recognized in the program as Naomi. Naomi was ailing but still she had a golden heart. She was kind and much caring. As revealed later on , Naomi was taking care of Maria after Maria's mother Deborah passed on.
Naomi took care of Maria like her own daughter. That actually made Maria to avoid more stress about loss of her parents. Unfortunately Naomi also died and burried in the same cemetery with Deborah her really mother.
At least Maria by nows her mother though she died. The only remaining person to Know is her really father.
